The application process for the New York State Construction grant program is about to begin. In anticipation of this, member libraries are urged to begin planning their projects and gathering the information needed for the application, which will be available at http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/.
This program requires a 50% match by the library. It is for renovation and construction, not for maintenance. The guidelines will be available with the application materials.
The deadline for submitting the complete grant application to Mid-York is Monday, July 2.

Update on construction grants:
The application for New York State construction grants is now available at http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/construc/. There are two programs. Please call Mid-York if you would like to discuss your project. The due date to have them in to the System is Monday, July 2, 2007.
